They just said that they don't think the police will be sent out. We've literally gone to a camp, found a group of migrants holding life jackets, watch them get on to a public bus in plain sight of everyone. We watch them walk through Dunkirk. And we've given £800 million to France, we didn't see a police officer the whole day and now we've just phoned them. It doesn't sound they even going to bother to come out.
The numbers are staggering, and the lack of enforcement is shocking. We give France huge sums of British taxpayers' money, and yet we watched migrants board buses and walk through Dunkirk without a single police officer in sight. This is not border security; this is a system being exploited.
