Bibby Stockholm: Asylum seekers moved off barge

Around 300 residents have already been moved from the Bibby Stockholm barge, with further dispersal planned across the UK instead of local areas in Dorset.

The Home Office stated it inherited a strained asylum system and is taking immediate action to process claims, aimed at reducing taxpayer costs by £7 billion over the next decade.
If asylum seekers are granted the right to remain, they have a 30-day window to find alternative housing, while those who are refused can appeal.
