YouTuber convicted of murdering pregnant partner in savage attack
"McCullagh had broadcast a YouTube video of himself playing a Grand Theft Auto game on the night that his partner was murdered, giving the impression it was a live broadcast."
"The jury heard that McCullagh disguised himself, took a bus to Lurgan, and walked to McNally's house where he killed her, later returning to her house to make a 999 call."
Stephen McCullagh was convicted of murdering his pregnant partner, Natalie McNally, who was 15 weeks along, on December 18, 2022. The trial revealed that McCullagh had fabricated a story about livestreaming a gaming session during the murder. Evidence showed he had planned the broadcast days in advance. The jury deliberated for two hours before reaching a verdict. McCullagh had previously attended a wake for McNally's family, continuing to lie about his alibi while they supported him.
