This week, parts of the UK are forecast to experience warmer temperatures than popular holiday destinations like Ibiza and Corfu. As the spring equinox approaches on Thursday, temperatures in southern England may rise to 19C (66F), which is 8C above average for this time of year. The Met Office predicts a mix of dry weather and increasing sunshine after a chilly start to the week with some overnight frost. This warm weather is attributed to a high-pressure system influencing southern regions, moving further north as the week progresses.
Parts of the UK are expected to be warmer than Ibiza and Corfu this week on the first official day of spring.
The spring equinox will coincide with some nice warm weather, definitely feeling spring-like.
