Two arrested over restaurant 'arson attack'

A suspected arson attack at a restaurant in Woodford Avenue, Gant's Hill, east London caused a blaze on Friday evening. The blaze ripped through the venue and three women and two men were taken to hospital. Three people were critically injured. The Metropolitan Police said a 15-year-old boy and a 54-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to danger life. Two of the victims, a man and a woman, remained in a life-threatening condition in hospital.
