Despite immediate medical attention and transport to Midland Regional Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The driver's age is in her 40s, and while she was unharmed, investigations are ongoing. This incident marks a day of tragedy, as another young man also lost his life in a separate accident in Westmeath.
