Her boyfriend, Fernando, shared updates about her condition, including a hopeful video stating she was 'out of danger.' Despite attempts to raise funds for her treatment back to Germany, she succumbed to her illness shortly after. Fernando expressed his grief and love for her, highlighting the impact she had on his life through her teachings of self-love and pursuing dreams.
"Once again, I can only ask for your prayers so that God may bring comfort to the hearts of her loved ones," Fernando wrote, confirming she died on March 7.
"Kushka, if you are perhaps reading this somewhere, thank you so much for teaching me how to love myself...I will forever love you and we may see each other again," he added.
