The village hit by a mystery poison pen letter scandal likened to TV drama Bridgerton
Briefly

In Shiptonthorpe, an idyllic Yorkshire village, residents are victimized by a series of anonymous abusive letters that have left the community feeling terrorized and on edge.
Village Councillor Leo Hammond noted that the letters, reminiscent of Lady Whistledown from 'Bridgerton', demonstrate a level of organization and professionalism from the anonymous writer.
One of the recipients received a blank Christmas card containing only a vulgar insult, representing the hostile tone of many communications that have circulated in the village.
The parish council chair, Victor Lambert, has received threats, including one where the writer cruelly expressed a desire for him to be hit by a bus, highlighting the severity of the harassment.
