TfL warns of widespread rail and Tube disruption throughout March

"We're sorry for any disruption caused by the planned engineering works taking place on the Elizabeth line and London Overground in March. These essential upgrades will help us maintain a safe, reliable service for our customers. We advise customers to check your journey before travelling, using the TfL Go app or at TfL.gov.uk, and allow a little extra time where needed."

"The Elizabeth line will be particularly affected in the eastern branch as Network Rail carries out engineering works on their tracks. In the central part of the Elizabeth line, TfL will also undertake some track renewals. The Overground will be affected quite badly, mainly on routes in North London. There will also be engineering works on the DLR affecting most branches on different weekends."

Major engineering works will disrupt multiple TfL rail and tube services throughout March, with passengers advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time. The Elizabeth line's eastern branch will be hit by Network Rail track works while the central section will undergo track renewals. London Overground services, particularly North London routes, will face significant disruption. DLR branches will be affected on different weekends. Sub-surface Underground lines will see the most impact, with the Circle line closed most weekends. The Piccadilly line will close between Uxbridge and Cockfosters for two weekends; new Piccadilly trains may run on test trips in west London. Replacement buses will operate where indicated.
