TfL sorry as passengers trapped on Tube for hours
"Footage from inside a faulty Jubilee line train, which became stuck between Westminster and Waterloo stations on Monday night, shows passengers filing out of what witnesses described as "hot and completely packed" carriages. One passenger told the BBC: "For about an hour or more we had no updates at all, not even from the driver, because the power was out.""
"We apologise to Jubilee line customers who were held on a faulty train yesterday evening and to those customers whose journeys have been disrupted by this incident, which involved the incident train and an additional faulty train."
A Jubilee line train broke down between Westminster and Waterloo, leaving passengers trapped in hot, crowded carriages with no power or updates for about an hour. Passengers were eventually forced to exit the train and walk along the tracks to reach safety. Engineers are working to restore service, but severe delays persisted on the line the following morning. TfL apologised to affected customers and acknowledged that the incident involved the faulty train plus an additional faulty train, and said efforts were underway to repair the service as quickly as possible.
