"Kris Harrison did not attend the hearing but wrote a statement to the court claiming he'd had an alcohol relapse on the day of the shooting and drank a bottle of wine. He added that a TV segment about gun crime prompted him to show his daughter his handgun, which he'd kept in a bedside cabinet. As I lifted the gun to show her I suddenly heard a loud bang. I did not understand what had happened. Lucy immediately fell, the statement read."

Shortly before a planned flight, Littler heard a loud bang from a bedroom; he found Lucy lying on the floor near the bathroom entrance while Kris screamed. Kris wrote that he had relapsed on alcohol, drank a bottle of wine, and that showing his handgun after seeing a TV segment led to a sudden bang. The coroner will deliver conclusions on Wednesday.
