
A 16-year-old boy is in hospital after a machete attack in Dudley, West Midlands. Police believe two young men approached him on a moped shortly before 2pm on Saturday near Duncan Edwards Close. The attackers fled after the assault, leaving him with serious injuries to his chest and face. He underwent surgery and is in a serious but stable condition. Police have recovered CCTV and mobile phone footage and are appealing for witnesses. Information is requested through the force website or by calling 101 with log 2561 of 23 May. Earlier in the month, two 16-year-old teenagers pleaded guilty to murdering a 14-year-old schoolboy on a London bus and to having a knife.
"It is believed the teenagerswas approached by two young men on a moped, just before 2pm on Saturday, when he was walking in the area of Duncan Edwards Close, Dudley, West Midlands Police said. The men attacked the boy before fleeing, leaving him with serious injuries to his chest and face, according to the force. He was taken to hospital, has undergone surgery and is in a serious but stable condition, police said on Sunday."

"Kelyan Bokassa was stabbed around 27 times as he travelled home on a route 472 bus in Woolwich, south-east London, on Tuesday January 7. Emergency services were called to Woolwich Church Street, near Woolwich Ferry, just before 2.30pm. Kelyan, an aspiring rapper, had sustained a severed femoral artery and died shortly after medics arrived at the scene. Two boys, both aged 16, were charged with murder and appeared at the Old Bailey for a plea hearing."
