On April 3, police responded to reports of an armed male at Sutcliffe Park in Eltham. The individual was identified as 18-year-old Kyley Cisse, who was seen on CCTV dancing with a machete in front of children at a nearby McDonald's. Although he left the restaurant and was searched by police, the machete was found hidden nearby. Cisse pleaded guilty to possessing a knife in public and has a prior knife possession conviction. His defense cited his troubled background and vulnerability.
On the afternoon of April 3, police were called with reports that a male was in Sutcliffe Park, Eltham, armed with a machete and appeared to be looking for someone.
CCTV footage from inside the fast-food restaurant later revealed that 18-year-old Kyley Cisse was dancing to music whilst waving a large unsheathed machete.
Cisse, from Bromley, then left the McDonald's and was stopped and searched on nearby Downing Drive. No weapon was found on his person but a machete was located hidden nearby.
Cisse has a previous conviction for possessing a knife, for which he received a referral order from the youth court in January 2022.
