A vigil in Trafalgar Square marked the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, drawing over 1,000 attendees including MPs. Paul Grod, president of the Ukrainian World Congress, delivered a powerful message warning against weakening US support for Ukraine, asserting that this is a fight for the future of freedom in Europe. He condemned Russia's brutal tactics, including genocide masked as de-Nazification, and called for global solidarity. Grod stressed the need for an unwavering commitment to support Ukraine as it grappled with the dire consequences of invasion and oppression.
If Ukraine falls, Europe is next this is not just Ukraine's fight, this is a fight for the future of freedom.
No tyrant can be allowed to redraw borders by force, no ally should pressure Ukraine to surrender... you cannot negotiate with someone who is seeking to destroy you.
We must be absolutely clear, Russia will not stop unless it is defeated. Putin will never stop, his goal is not just Ukrainian land, he wants to erase Ukraine as a nation.
Today we face a troubling moment for the first time since Russia's full-scale invasion, the United States has begun to waver.
