Teacher strikes continue at 50k-per-year Bromley private school
Briefly

Farringtons School staff are protesting against proposed salary cuts and pension changes, which they claim stem from unfair employment tactics. The National Education Union (NEU) reports a significant pay gap between Farringtons teachers and their counterparts in local state schools, despite the school's high tuition fees. Staff are feeling disheartened as they work hard for their students while facing potential pay reductions. An overwhelming majority of NEU members voted for strike action, with plans for multiple strike days ahead. The union emphasizes their determination for negotiations to protect teacher pay and pensions.
We go above and beyond for pupils, but now we're being asked to take a pay cut, either in our salary now or in our pensions later. It's incredibly disheartening.
The planned strike action will go ahead until we have a resolution. We continue to push for ACAS negotiations and hope the school will take us up on this suggestion.
