Surge in number of young people coming to food charities for help for the first time

The number of charities seeing 18-25 year olds asking for food support has doubled in the last year as the cost of living crisis bites.
Caroline Gill, food and nutrition lead at The Warren, highlighted that young people in Hull, particularly those in supported accommodation facing fuel poverty, are increasingly requesting food that requires minimal cooking.
