"At around 9.30pm, the London Fire Brigade said it received over 20 calls reporting a blaze engulfing parts of the King's Hall Methodist Church in Southall. Ten fire engines and 70 firefighters were deployed to the scene on South Road in Southall. At the height of the fire, most of the ground floor, second floor and roof were alight, the fire brigade said."
"Crews from Southall, Ealing and Heston were deployed, and firefighters used two 32-metre turntable ladders to control the flames from above. West London locals were advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to smoke in the area. The blaze was under control by 12.30am, but crews remained on scene into the early morning to fully extinguish the fire."
At around 9.30pm on Sunday a blaze engulfed parts of King's Hall Methodist Church on South Road in Southall. The London Fire Brigade received over 20 calls reporting the fire. Ten fire engines and 70 firefighters, including crews from Southall, Ealing and Heston, were deployed to the scene. At the height of the blaze most of the ground floor, second floor and roof were alight. Firefighters used two 32-metre turntable ladders to tackle flames from above. West London residents were advised to keep windows and doors closed because of smoke. The fire was under control by 12.30am but crews remained into the early morning to fully extinguish the blaze. The cause remains under investigation and South Road is closed between Park Road and High Street.
