High pressure is dominating our weather, sitting up to the North East. That will bring a real chill across the South but also bring in some snow showers across southern areas of England and south Wales.
The amber alert, issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Met Office, means cold weather impacts are likely to be felt across the whole health service for an extended period of time.
