Mya and Isaiah Marsh were convicted for their involvement in the murder of Minister Enfrence, who suffered over 20 stab wounds during an altercation in Birmingham. The court found that Mya handed a knife to Isaiah, who attacked Enfrence during a dispute potentially related to cannabis or a damaged bicycle. CCTV evidence showed Mya brandishing the knife while Enfrence was unarmed. Despite the siblings denying murder charges, the prosecutor indicated that their prior relationship with the victim suggested intent rather than self-defense. The brutal nature of the attack led to a swift jury deliberation.
Jurors deliberated for less than four hours after viewing CCTV footage of the attack, during which Mya Marsh was seen handing her brother a knife.
Prosecutor Jennifer Josephs KC explained that the pair knew the victim, suggesting premeditated intent rather than self-defense.
