Actor Kadiff Kirwan, known for roles in Slow Horses and Black Mirror, has joined the cast of the new season of Doctor Who. He will star in an exciting episode written by Juno Dawson, which is described as an 'intergalactic gargantuan extravaganza.' Dawson has indicated that this particular episode will be the 'most ridiculous' and 'most expensive' installment of the series to date. Showrunner Russell T Davies expressed his delight in working with Kirwan, calling it a 'riot' and praising his talent. Doctor Who returns to screens on April 12.
I feel elated to be joining the rich legacy of actors who have guest-starred in Doctor Who. Russell T Davies and Juno Dawson have truly outdone themselves with this episode in what I can only describe as an intergalactic gargantuan extravaganza.
The best thing about a writer on Doctor Who is that I get to play with characters that I've enjoyed since I was four or five years old. There's no limit to the imagination on the show. I think it's the best show ever made.
