An 18-year-old was fatally stabbed in Rye Lane, Peckham, after an assault reported at about 7.07pm on Saturday 14 February. The victim was found close to the junction of Heaton Road, received emergency care from the London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance, and was taken to hospital where he died. Detectives released footage showing the teenager riding a moped hours earlier and appealed for witnesses and any doorbell or dashcam footage covering Rye Lane. No arrests have been made and investigators are working to identify those responsible. The Met asked anyone in the area between 18:00 and 19:30 to contact police, quoting reference 6065/14Feb, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
