Police offer 20,000 reward to catch killers of young father shot dead in east London
"Words cannot comprehend how I felt, and how I still feel. That's my baby, he's my baby boy and he's gone. As a family, we are utterly speechless and still at a loss one year on. I pray to God that we may get closure and justice for Hanif. Anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual in the area, or who may have information that could assist with the investigation, please come forward."
"We continue to support the family of innocent Hanif Redwood. His death devastated his family and friends, as well as many in the local community. Hanif was not the intended target. A year on from his murder, we are appealing for any new information. While we have made progress with our investigation, we still need those who know what happened to come forward. Someone must have seen or heard something, they must know why this shooting took place."
Hanif Redwood, 32, was shot dead outside the Factory 15 Bar in Linton Road, Barking, at around 4.35am on Sunday October 13, 2024. The father-of-two was leaving a party when a single gunshot wound to the head killed him in the car park. Metropolitan Police detectives are offering a reward of up to 20,000 for information that could identify, arrest and prosecute those responsible. Investigators say Hanif was not the intended target and that progress has been made, but further information is still needed. Specialist officers continue to support the family, who urge anyone with information to come forward.
