He was rushed to Great Ormond Street Hospital but died on 17 February. His mother, Dounia Chetaouat, 32, and father, Abdelkader Essid, 44, have been charged with murder and causing or allowing the death of a child. Both defendants were remanded into custody. A plea hearing is scheduled for 13 May, with trial proceedings set to begin in February of the following year.
