The offences include five counts of sexual assault of a child by penetration, four counts of sexual assault of a child by touching, 11 counts of taking indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child, and six counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child."
Vincent Chan, 45, abused children while employed at a nursery between 2017 and 2024, targeting at least four girls including a child as young as three. He secretly filmed and photographed children in distress using a work iPad and other devices, sometimes during nap time, and showed clips to colleagues. Police arrested him in June 2024 after a staff report about a filmed incident, seized 69 devices across home and nursery searches, and discovered deeply disturbing material. Chan pleaded guilty to 26 offences including sexual assault by penetration, sexual touching, and creating and making indecent images. The nursery has closed and some victims' families attended court.
