Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the only survivor of the recent Air India crash, managed to escape the wreckage due to his seat's advantageous position. Flight AI171 crashed shortly after takeoff, with Ramesh sustaining only minor injuries, which experts attribute to the emergency exit seat 11A's proximity to the strong wing box and the aircraft's structural integrity. Investigators believe that the circumstances of the crash provided him a unique escape route through a potential rupture in the fuselage, helping him avoid severe injuries sustained by many others onboard.
Surviving with minor physical injuries seemed miraculous, but the focus on how Ramesh may have stayed alive turned to his seat on the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner 11A.
The aircraft was pretty nose up when it hit the buildings. It has presumably broken open in an area of the fuselage adjacent to this guy.
