His disappearance has featured in a number of appeals over the last five years, with police saying his family were concerned for his welfare."
Ismail Ali, missing since May 2020, presented himself at a West Yorkshire police station reporting to be safe and well. Officers had earlier arrested three women and two men on suspicion of his murder after saying they suspected he was no longer alive. Searches of three properties after those arrests recovered a large amount of cash, and several people remain on bail for suspected money laundering as inquiries continue. Mr Ali's family have been notified and he is being safeguarded while checks are carried out. Ali was last seen working in a shop in Lidget Green on 29 May 2020 and his disappearance prompted repeated appeals due to family concern for his welfare.
