Yostin Andres Mosquera is on trial at the Old Bailey for the murders of Albert Alfonso and Paul Longworth last July. Mosquera admitted to manslaughter by loss of self-control in the death of Mr. Alfonso, who was stabbed while being filmed, but denied murder despite prosecutor Deanna Heer KC asserting his actions were intentional. The intimate dynamics between the men involved, including sexual relations documented on video, brought up tensions and blame, particularly with Mr. Longworth’s tragic end tangled in Mr. Alfonso's sexual escapades and Mosquera's premeditated behavior.
The court heard Mosquera blames Mr Alfonso for the death of Mr Longworth. The prosecution asserts Mosquera was in complete control of his actions.
Prosecutor Deanna Heer KC told jurors that Mosquera could hardly deny killing Mr Alfonso, which occurred while the defendant and Mr Alfonso were engaging in sexual acts.
Neighbors described Mr Alfonso and Mr Longworth as a friendly couple who entered into a civil partnership in February 2023, and were genuinely fond of one another.
It was revealed that Mr Alfonso liked extreme sex, which Mr Longworth accepted, and that Mosquera was described by the prosecution as a pornographic performer.
