Simon Whyte, 55, was fatally shot on West End Close, Stonebridge, Brent, at 21:35 GMT on Friday. Police and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene but he died there. A murder investigation has been opened and no arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the shooting. Patrols in the area have been increased. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Metropolitan Police on 101 or make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers. Investigators are particularly keen to hear from a large group of people believed to have been congregated nearby at the time.
