A 32-year-old man, Gary Jones, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has since been charged and appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court, where he was remanded in custody. A plea hearing is scheduled at Kingston Crown Court on Monday, 15 June.
