A 49-year-old man was arrested in Salford on suspicion of failing to disclose information regarding terrorist activity connected to a synagogue attack in Manchester. Greater Manchester Police said the arrest occurred on Tuesday evening and the man remains in custody for questioning. The arrest relates to the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue attack on 2 October last year, which killed Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz and left three others with serious injuries. The attacker, Knifeman Jihad Al-Shamie, was shot by officers after stabbing multiple people while wearing a vest that appeared to be an explosive device but was later found not to be viable. The arrest is the eighth connected arrest, and police urged anyone with information to come forward.
