"A 32-year-old man was killed in a car crash on the M4 on Sunday morning, resulting in part of the motorway being closed all day. The man was driving in a black Mercedes when his vehicle came off the road on the slip-road to Leigh Delamere services at approximately 2am on Sunday morning. Another man who was travelling in the vehicle is being treated for serious injuries in the hospital. The sad accident occurred between junctions 17 and 18 of the M4 (Ben Birchall/PA)"
"A National Highways spokesperson said: At around 2am Wiltshire Police responded to a serious single vehicle collision involving a car which left the eastbound carriageway near Leigh Delamere services. National Highways Traffic Officers attended the scene and assisted the emergency services by providing traffic management at both the scene and at J18. All M4 lanes have now reopened, as of 8:43 pm, according to the traffic monitoring site Inrix."
A 32-year-old man died after his black Mercedes left the road on the slip-road to Leigh Delamere services on the M4 at about 2am. The collision occurred between junctions 17 and 18 and led to closure of the eastbound carriageway between Bath and Chippenham, with traffic disruption expected into the afternoon. A second man in the vehicle is being treated in hospital for serious injuries. Next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers. Authorities requested witnesses and dash-cam footage. National Highways Traffic Officers provided traffic management and all lanes reopened by 8:43pm.
