Jeremy gets green flag to visit model railway
Briefly

Jeremy Jacobs, an 87-year-old disabled pensioner with a longstanding love for model railways, received a special visit from members of the South West Herts Model Railway Society. The club set up a working display just for him, providing VIP treatment as he enjoyed the hobby he loves but struggles to pursue due to his disability. Jacobs expressed his joy and anticipation for the club's grand exhibition planned for May. The club invites visitors regularly, fostering community engagement and supporting enthusiasts of all abilities.
I've had a passion for model railways for many years, but it's difficult for me to build my own working model with my disability.
The club welcomes visitors every Monday and Wednesday from 10am to 12pm and Thursdays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Jeremy Jacobs was given the VIP treatment at the South West Herts Model Railway Society when he turned up with staff from his Beaumont care home.
