Israel's defence minister orders troops to advance deeper into Gaza
Briefly

The collapse of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has led to nearly 600 Palestinian fatalities, as Israel’s military increases operations in Gaza. Defence Minister Israel Katz has stated that the military will continue to advance until over 59 remaining hostages are released by Hamas, intensifying actions in key areas like Beit Lahiya and Rafah. Moreover, Prime Minister Netanyahu faces legal challenges regarding dismissing the chief of Israel's internal security service, Shin Bet. Hamas insists on a ceasefire and military withdrawal in exchange for hostages, complicating the already tense situation.
Nearly 600 Palestinians have been killed since the truce between Israel and Hamas was shattered on Tuesday.
The more Hamas continues its refusal to release the kidnapped, the more territory it will lose to Israel, said Defence Minister Israel Katz.
