Despite attempts by Ada's family to save her, she succumbed to her injuries two days later. Following the incident, Asolo-Ogugua was arrested and later charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He pleaded guilty, receiving a seven-year driving ban and serving prison time. Ada's father expressed profound grief, stating their family has crumbled and pledging to honor Ada's memory while advocating against drug driving.
