One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene as an observation tower to provide the Incident Commander with an aerial view of the fire."

About 40 people evacuated before the London Fire Brigade arrived. Twelve fire engines and around 80 firefighters were deployed, and a 32-metre turntable ladder provided an aerial observation view for the incident commander. The fire was brought under control by 03:36 and there are no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The building houses Equinox gym and offices for the Daily Mail and Metro; the Roof Gardens reopened as a private members' club in 2024.
