Do Franco-British dual nationals need an ETA to travel to UK?
Briefly

Starting April 2, 2025, an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) visa waiver will be compulsory for all EU and EEA citizens traveling to the UK, requiring pre-application online. The application opens on March 5, 2025, at a cost of £10, valid for two years. Exemptions apply only to those holding UK or Irish passports, with dual nationals advised that the passport used at border control dictates their treatment. Children of British parents in France also must have a UK passport to be considered British upon entry.
The new ETA visa waiver system requires all EU and EEA citizens, except British and Irish passport holders, to apply online starting April 2nd.
From April 2nd, those with dual nationality are treated based on the passport they present, so French passport holders will need an ETA starting then.
