"My team are working at pace to establish the full circumstances that led to this man's tragic death. Our thoughts remain with the victim's family and friends at this very difficult time. They continue to be supported by specialist officers. A crime scene remains in place and residents can expect to see increased patrols in the local area as we carry out enquiries."
"We were called at 8.50pm last night (8 September) to reports of a shooting in Forster Road, SW2. We sent two ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and a paramedic from our tactical response unit to the scene. We also dispatched two advanced trauma teams in cars from London's Air Ambulance. We treated two patients at the scene and took them both to a major trauma centre as a priority."
Police were called shortly before 9pm to reports of a shooting on New Park Road, Clapham. Paramedics treated two men, aged 20 and 27, and took them to hospital. The 27-year-old died in hospital in the early hours of the following morning; the 20-year-old remains hospitalized with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. The Met Police has notified the victim's family and provided specialist officer support. A crime scene remains in place and increased patrols are active while enquiries continue.
