In addressing the concerning influence of Andrew Tate's videos, security expert Philip Grindell warns that children who engage with such content represent a potential risk. Drawing on his experience in counter-terrorism, he highlights a parallel between these young viewers and individuals drawn to extremist ideologies. Grindell's insights underscore the need for vigilant monitoring of children's media consumption while The Independent emphasizes its commitment to delivering accessible journalism in light of pressing societal issues.
Mr Grindell told The Independent he was worried about loners who obsessed over the Tate brothers as much as any loyalist to far-right or Islamic extremism traditionally associated with targeted attacks.
If you have a young child following the Tates for example and watching their videos I would consider that to be a red flag.
During his time with the Met Police, Mr Grindell played a leading role in preventing an assassination attempt on then-MP Rosie Cooper who was targeted in a murder plot.
We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
