Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters from Brixton, Clapham, Peckham and surrounding stations responded, with the Brigade receiving 23 calls beginning at 0805. Fire crews brought the blaze under control by 0933. Four children were taken to hospital as a precaution; no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
