Man City's new Champions League kit font is dangerously close to Comic Sans
Briefly

In a move surprising many, Manchester City unveiled a custom font for their 2024-25 kits, designed by Noel Gallagher based on his handwriting, to be used for player names and numbers.
The font, though distinct, has been likened to Comic Sans. It was created by converting Gallagher's handwritten names and numbers of first-team players into a new typeface for the kits.
The new City kit will feature the unique font in Champions League and cup fixtures, not in the Premier League due to preapproved kit lettering rules. Puma's design also incorporates Manchester's '0161' dialling code.
Major clubs like Real Madrid have introduced custom fonts recently, such as Real's new Arabesque style. Various national teams have also experimented with unique lettering alongside kit releases.
