The underrated European country launching a brand-new digital nomad visa
Briefly

Slovenia is set to launch its digital nomad visa on November 1, 2025. This visa permits remote workers to reside in Slovenia for a year while working for companies outside the nation. Applicants must be from non-EU and non-EEA countries and prove sufficient income through documentation. Family members may accompany the primary applicant but must follow the same rules concerning employment. The visa is non-renewable, and reapplication is possible after a six-month departure from Slovenia. Further details on income thresholds and visa fees are pending.
From November 1, 2025, Slovenia will implement a digital nomad visa allowing remote workers to stay for up to 12 months while working for a non-Slovenian company.
Applicants must be from outside the EU and EEA, and they must demonstrate sufficient income through pay slips, bank statements, or employment documents.
The digital nomad visa cannot be renewed; however, a reapplication is permitted after a six-month absence from Slovenia.
Family members can join the visa holders, but they must also comply with employment regulations to avoid visa cancellation and future entry restrictions.
