Stray dog on the tracks halts two London Underground lines

A dog was on the tracks just before 1.30pm, causing disruption on the Metropolitan line between Wembley Park and Aldgate. Services remained affected for more than five hours after the initial incident. TfL reported at 6pm that the Jubilee Line was experiencing severe delays due to an earlier animal on the track. Multiple operators including London buses, C2C, DLR, Thameslink, Mildmay line and the Elizabeth line accepted tickets via reasonable routes to assist passengers. The dog was returned safely to its owner at around 4pm, but network disruption persisted afterwards.
