Catherine Banks, a Marine Corps veteran, was removed from a Delta flight because her shirt's message on veteran suicide prevention was deemed 'threatening' by a flight attendant.
Despite revealing her military service, Banks was told by the flight attendant, 'I don't care about your service... The only way you're going to get back on the plane is if you take it off right now.'
The shirt, which urges people to 'End veteran suicide', is part of the Til Valhalla Project's efforts to raise awareness and support for veterans' mental health.
Statistics from the United Service Organizations highlight the alarming veteran suicide rates, reporting that over 30,000 veterans have died by suicide since 9/11, far exceeding combat deaths.
