The downtown O'Neill Surf Shop is a 5,000-square-foot vaulted ceiling corner space, accented with larger-than-life images of surfers riding crystalline waves and beachgoers lounging on faraway shores.
'O'Neill Surf Shop will be closing its downtown store location as it seeks to consolidate operations in an evolving retail landscape,' read a statement from the company.
Jack O'Neill, the godfather of modern surfing known for his trademark eye patch, is credited with inventing the neoprene wet suit and started his first surf shop in his garage in 1952.
The last day of business at O'Neill Surf Shop on Pacific Ave. will be January 14th, 2025.
