Christine Job graduated law school in 2013 and returned to Atlanta after living in Miami for law school. She experienced a family death and several years of work that left her burned out, prompting a desire to rethink her life. She moved to Spain in 2017 to pursue a different lifestyle, initially teaching in Logroño and later living in Barcelona and Valencia. She adapted to the culture, lived modestly on savings despite not planning every detail, and transitioned into podcasting.
