"I've skied every resort,"
"I would only come here. I won't go other places."
Diamond Peak sits above Lake Tahoe with sweeping south-facing views from Snowflake Lodge at 7,400 feet. The midcentury chalet dates to the 60-year-old resort's origins. Community ownership through the Incline Village General Improvement District funds services and operates the ski area, providing local management and funding for recreational offerings. The mountain rises to 8,400 feet, offers 655 acres, 30 runs, tree skiing and some side-country access. Opened as Ski Incline in November 1966 and renamed Diamond Peak in the late 1980s, the resort remains an affordable, view-centric destination cherished by locals and visitors with deep family ties.
