Tesla Giga Berlin ramping to optimum production capacity: plant manager
Briefly

Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin is set to recover from a significant sales decline, with plans to increase production of the Model Y. The factory manager, André Thierig, emphasized that there will be no layoffs and that the plant is moving to ramp up production of the new Model Y, which had previously produced around 1,000 vehicles per day. Despite facing challenges, the demand for the Model Y remains strong, with low inventory levels reported. Giga Berlin serves multiple markets beyond Germany, contributing significantly to local employment and the economy.

The facility is ready to ramp its production of the new Tesla Model Y. Efforts are now underway to return Model Y production to levels we experienced last year.
