Solaris has secured its first contract in Bosnia and Herzegovina through an order from the Ministry of Transport of the Canton of Sarajevo for ten articulated Trollino 18 trolleybuses, slated for delivery in mid-2026. This contract signifies an important milestone for Solaris as it expands its presence to the 37th country utilizing its vehicles. Solaris, a leader in zero-emission public transport, holds over 60% of the trolleybus market share in Europe, having delivered thousands of vehicles globally, emphasizing its commitment to sustainability in urban mobility.
With this contract, Solaris will deliver 10 articulated trolleybuses to Bosnia and Herzegovina, marking a significant expansion into a new market for the company.
The Trollino 18 vehicles, scheduled for delivery in 2026, will incorporate advanced battery technology, enabling up to 20 km of operation without overhead catenary.
Solaris has established itself as a European leader in zero-emission vehicles, boasting a 60% market share in 2024 with over 5,500 zero-emission buses delivered worldwide.
This procurement, funded by the European Investment Bank, highlights a strong collaboration towards sustainable public transportation in Sarajevo and supports local mobility improvements.
