Air Canada Express Flight 8646, operated by Jazz Aviation, collided with a firetruck at La Guardia Airport shortly after landing. The flight took off from Montreal carrying 72 passengers and four crew members. A United Airlines flight had aborted its takeoff due to a warning light, prompting a firetruck to be dispatched. The Air Canada flight was cleared to land on Runway 04 amidst busy airport operations. The fire truck was crossing the runway when the collision occurred.
