GTA modder behind "Project Vice" mod that re-created GTA 6's map in GTA 5 opts to take down download links to it after Take-Two claims YouTube video
Briefly

The GTA modding sphere faces turmoil as Dark Space, creator of Project Vice—a mod that recreates a GTA 6 map within GTA 5—has removed download links after receiving a copyright claim from Take-Two. Despite their success in developing the mod, including a 1.0 release earlier this month, Take-Two's actions surprised Dark Space. They indicate they would have complied if asked directly. In response to the copyright strike, Dark Space preemptively pulled the mod download links to avoid further complications while VG247 has sought comments from Rockstar/Take-Two on the matter.
"Take Two Interactive has copyright claimed and removed my video on the GTA 6 map I made in GTA 5," Dark Space tweeted yesterday, March 23, referencing their video entitled 'I finally made a playable GTA 6 map in FiveM and single player'. "I expected something like this could happen. I am surprised they didn't bother emailing me. I would have taken it down if asked."
"Take Two Interactive has not contacted me, but rather, they have copyright struck my youtube video down," they re-emphasised in an announcement on Discord.
In a follow-up YouTube video with the title 'Take-Two Took Down My Video/Map Project', they added: "I've also removed the download links to my mod. Even though [Take-Two] didn't ask me to, but I think it's smarter to get out in front of them, rather than waiting for their email that will never come."
